Everything is spectacular in its way. It's all valuable. It's all of a piece.

Slowly, step by step, picture by picture, his work began to have the look of having been made by someone who,
on trying to explain the world, and having failed, had been reduced to collecting it.

You know I like this....
This pic is very beautiful... It's more than just the christian symbolisim though, it's the ruggardness, the tone, and I always find the square quite settling as a format. Although I thought about you using it on a christmas card, and I have to ask... wouldn't it be more appropriate to use it on an easter card, should you be that organised to send out easter cards that is!?
yeah i thought about that easter/xmas thing, but then i went xmas is about christ too, crosses can have christian symbolism but don't necessarily, i'm not a christian and most people on my mailing list aren't christian, i like this image so i'm using it. artists perrogative ya know.
A cross at Easter? Isn't that all about rabbits laying eggs?
that ... and mel gibson hauling some railway sleepers through some old town.
