The Bay

Here's a shot I took on World Pinhole Day in 2002 on a modified cheap crappy camera. Suffice to say it's the only decent shot I took on the day. It's on the web along with a bunch of other shots from the day, and shortly it'll be visible outside 101 Willis St (I hope) if you look carefully.

If you can name the location you win a prize - the prize being that you can take me out for a coffee. Bet that's an offer you can't refuse.

Hey Jodi, cast your mind back a couple of years and you might get it. Pinhole day is 30 April this year and to be honest the idea of taking a few shots on the day to put on the net doesn't excite me - especially now I've got my blog. I'm still interested in pinhole but i just need to find time to fit it in along with everything else - working, shooting, curating, networking, drinking, stomach pumps, etc.

Ahhh naaahhhhh. Good thought though. There's a playground near by though, and a basketball hoop, and a surf club, wharf, fish & chip shop, the odd boat, a few locals, some stupid photographers taking 3min exposures through tinfoil on a plastic camera ....

Yeah well close but still not right. It's good that you read the fine print, but maybe that's why you're currently the only competitor in this competition. Maybe I should reassess my prizes as clearly the pleasure of my charming company is not good enough enticement.

A small hint for anyone else still playing. The landmass depicted in this photo is an Island. Like most islands it is surrounded by a body of water. Possibly in the form of a Bay.
