In commemoration of a 550 day journey ... and a ninehundredth blogpost.

I don't know how many blogposts Brunner wrote on his journey, but my 900 have taken six years and two months.

Though, frankly, how many people really care?

The Marker

I like history. I like this spot.

I like that it's flat. I like that it feels remote.

I like that it marks a bit of New Zealand history. And that you can't actually get closer to the actual spot without asking the landowner. Assuming you want to be respectful that is.

I also like that there are cows there.

Cos I like cows.

And cows like me.

The Missing

It's awesome coming across sites like this.

Especially when they're on pretty much a main street so you don't actually need to go looking for them.

I do also stop and photograph sticks not telling me to do anything. But it's green. And green means go.
