Back in the good old days ... you know, five years ago when film companies still existed and/or sold their products in New Zealand ... you could get this product called 55PN.
It was a Polaroid product, much utilised by Fiona Pardington and Mark Klett. Unlike most Polaroid products it produced both a positive and a negative (hence the 'PN'). That means you had a piece of film you could make prints from.
The downside was, being a Polaroid product, it was often temperamental resulting in images such as these.
Another issue was that the positive and negative operated at different ISO. In order to get a good negative you got a near unusable positive (and vice versa), much like this shot.

The Incidental
Approximately six years ago, for reasons now lost, I was taking walks and photographing stuff.
Often it was stuff I wouldn't ordinarily photograph.
If one wishes to, one could make connections to NZ art history and/or christianity.
But that would be extremely foolish and idiotic.
However, it does remind me still that I really ought to develop all that film I've got lying around.

I wouldn't wish to though.

The Blueyellowblue
On the weekend I started a new series. When I left home I only half knew what I was going to do. But the time spent on the bike getting to location 1 gave me time to crystalise the idea and it ended up being one I've been thinking about for years but have never quite known how to satisfactorily actualise the concept. These are shots #1 and #2 and may well do the trick.
And weirdly, the cost of getting one sheet of 4x5 processed using E6 is now equal to the cost of a box of film.
Okay, so the box of film was cheap (which is why I've now got a fair bit of it to use up), but still $15 per sheet for processing is ridiculous.

The Coastal
There's a nice beach on half way between Bulls and Wanganui.
It's exposed and wild. And each time I've visited it has changed dramatically.
These photos don't really give much sense of the place, and though they look serene but it was blowing a gale and freezing cold.
On the way to said beach is a nice little church I've photographed a few times too.
Sometimes, just to be different, I photograph the church and the beach together.
That's Art.
Or Rubbish.
