This, apparently, is what happens when you (accidentally) double expose a frame and then wind the film through and remove the camera from the tripod, all the time forgetting (or maybe it was intentional) that the lens is still open.

Cool. Think how much film could be wasted trying to intentionally replicate that!
ReplyDeletethe thing with long exposure night shot of lights with a moving camera is that they are really easy to do.
ReplyDeletethis mixed up the moving camera with moving film. while replication would be difficult, i do think it'd be easy to get interesting results by replicating the technique.
